|
|
I've had my local game group ask me to run a new SW campaign, since they're almost all old hands at D6 SW I'd thought I'd through them a curve with an alternate universe setting I've been kicking around in my head for awhile.
STAR WARS: SHATTERED GALAXY
In a nut shell it's post Battle of Endor but things didn't end up going all the Rebel Alliance's way. Namely they get blind-sided by an Imperial counter attack during their after battle celebrations and loose most of the fleet and leadership. The Empire breaks down but this time no one is there to establish a new galactic government, and many don't want a new one. After all most of the galaxy's experience with pan galactic government in living memory has been one that is either weak, corrupt, chaotic, or oppressive sometimes all at the same time. And so portions of the galaxy slide into anarchy while others reform along local and regional power bases.
I'm trying to think of a different title the current one sounds a bit derivative. Any thoughts?

Cool! Star Wars goes Mad Max
I'd take a few good looks on Nar Shadaa and the Dark empire Coruscant. _________________ If you fall seven times, get up eight times. |

So basically, you're talking about a "Dark Ages" for Star Wars. Greek civilization (Old Republic) and Roman civilization (Empire) have imploded.
Star Wars: Sundered Stars
Star Wars: Galactic Dark Ages
Star Wars: Galactic Isolation
Star Wars: Desolation _________________ Han - "How're we doin'?"

Star Wars: Sundered Stars
Star Wars: Galactic Dark Ages
Star Wars: Galactic Isolation
Star Wars: Desolation | Oooooh, I like the sound of Star Wars: Desolation though it sounds more like a distopic, post-apocalyptic setting than a post-Imperial Dark Ages. Some other good names by all as well.
Maybe simply Star Wars: Dark Ages? |

I was thinking Shattered Dreams, which is pretty close to your original theme, as the dreams of either side have been pretty well shattered. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Hmm...maybe I'll embrace the derivative side. I just came up with a good one, Star Wars: A Lost Hope |

I actually like this one. A lot. Makes it sound a bit more scary. Every planet keeps their own government, maybe they trade, maybe they don't, but has that feel of "Nothing is the same from system to system except that everyone is doing their own thing". =D |
