I don't know if this is the right place for this but I'm hoping someone could help me.
I've heard there are compilation books of alien races, droids etc. The name Thiago S. Arahna was thrown around as the author. I'm not sure if they're semi-official, legal to get/download because they're fan made (and not from the actual books, i.e. own stats for aliens rather than the ones originally published) or what - or if they're even available still.
I was just wondering if anyone has any information as tracking down 15-25 year books is starting to get hard and expensive but obviously if there's some legally obtainable download stats and such it would be great to lay my hands on them.
thanks!
EDIT: have just gone through the fan supplements thread and found the author to be Gry Sarth. Should have done my research better, sorry!
EDIT 2: Gry Sarth, I think I might cry. That Alien Stat work of yours is sublime, I think I'm going to print it out and bind it. _________________ "The Force will be with you. Sometimes." |

I'm right in thinking though that the stats are printed (for the most part) from early WEG books right?
I love the compilations, especially the Alien one (really really need to print this out but need to figure out what printer to get first...). There are a couple of things that seem to be missing, there's a picture of General G's race and name but no stats for it. I was wondering how complete the Alien stat book is in terms of Alien Species from the WEG books and SAGA (wince) books and whether it's an ongoing or completed project. - Just for terms of printing it out and not reprinting parts of it out more than I have to. _________________ "The Force will be with you. I think they usually reference what source the stat appeared in. Most sources will list in a google search and you can then tell by date of publication and/or publisher if it is WEG or other. |

The stats are all official stats from WEG and conversions from WotC books. No homebrew stats to be seen. The aliens that have pictures, but no stats, have no official stats done by either company. Ie Yodas race.
Btw, how did you hear of Gry's books? _________________ "I take orders from just one person: Me!"

Looking at what books I was going to get/hunt down and getting confused at Galaxy Guide 15 coming up, and then googling the author Thiago S. Arahna. Then looking through the fan books thread.
I might use them as a reference to convert star wars stuff over to another system now.
Probably still going to hunt down on WEG books, especially the alien ones but I don't have to spend upwards of £30 for a 15-20 year supplement now, I can wait until one is on ebay for a reasonable price. _________________ "The Force will be with you. Sometimes." |

Actually, GG15 is authored by Joseph McWhorter and co-produced by Thiago S. Aranha. It is incorrectly listed as a WEG book as WEG lost the liscence before The Phantom Menace even. GG15 is a fan made galaxy guide for Attack of the Clones and even says so. But Gry and his co creator did use the WEG logo and the book does look like it should have been a WEG produced galaxy guide. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
