Is this ever going to be up and running again?
Just wondering as I don't check the site as often as I used to and then have to wade through many replies when I finally remember.

When you make a post, you can select the "Notify me when a reply is posted" checkbox. I think this will email you when new replies are posted to the thread. Does anyone else use this feature, and can confirm if this is/isn't working?

No email yet. You can set it to send email automatically in your profile settings. Did you try that?

Last time I asked, which was about a year ago, I think that it had to be turned of for some (valid) reason or the other. So even if you have the notify me when a reply is posted box ticked it doesn't work.

I've just gone through the announcement pages and it's in there saying that there's no email notification for the site. Since 08 anyway. Maybe it'll change one day, I'll just make sure I'll keep a better eye out for replies to my posts until then

Ahh yeah, sorry bout that. I remember now. We had to turn off that option because of an issue where past users whose email addresses had since expired were still getting notifications and flooding the server with bounced email messages.
