Most players feel keeping 5 is safe going into most modules.. 10 for mine

this one wasn't just one character, this was the whole group. I was starting them out on the black ice adventure where you steal a huge supply of oil spheres from the empire for the rebels. they did that, then they went to the outer borders of the galaxy and sold off the spheres one by one (there were 10 in all). they has a huge price on their heads for the mistake. Both the empire and rebellion was after them. i don't think i have thrown more npcs at any other group. lets just say, the jedi went dark side really fast that day.

Since as soon as they get to the reb base in the module the Torp sphere showed up, how did they circumvent it and get it into the outer rim?

the character that was piloting the craft made an immediate jump to light speed for the outer rim. i should have expected it with that group.

So they didn't even go back to base?

And what was stopping the 'buyers' just taking such a small crew out, and stealing the oil themselves?
