I am not sure if this is in the right spot but I am running a game and would like to get the SW miniatures put out by west end games for tabletop combats. I will probably wind up getting some WOC ones but if anyone has any they would like to sell (at a reasonable price) or any other sci fi minis that would be appropriate for the SW universe please PM me or if you can recommend a site post here in case others are interested. Amazon has a few but not much and it usually runs pretty damn high.

I have the same problem, as it has taken me quite a while to collect a decent selection of the grenadier minis. The toughest in my experience are collecting enough stormtroopers as they tend to be the most sought after.

But with patience, eBay, and enough discretionary income, I now have just enough to play out combat encounters reasonably well.

I have also found that other sci-fi miniature lines, including Warhammer 40K will produce minis, that although not officially Star Wars, will work well.

Depicted in the Miniatures Battles rulebook, one scenario used Ral Parth Lizardmen (from D&D) to depict a relatively primitive alien race.

Hope this input helps

And I find Orcs with axes make for tolerable Gamorreans and with some judicious modification a cloak wearing, sword wielding fantasy character can become a Jedi.

Especially since many orcs are sculpted with a porcine appearance.

How do they compare to -
    Traditional 25mm miniatures?
    The somewhat bulkier Warhammer minis?
The smaller 15mm that I've seen mostly used for table top war games?

Bigger? Smaller?

I don't know about the exact scales, but here's a pic of one of my WEG stormies compared to one from WotC's Rebel Storm. They're both on 1" bases:

The new SW plastic minis (Rebel Storm for example) are a bit large for 25mm, but they are smaller than 30mm.

When WOTC took over the license, the b@$tards produced their miniature line in 30mm..... ever seen a female scoundrel that was taller than a Wookiee?

I sir do not like plastic, but the plastic minis will work in a pinch.

That they do. And before sites like Sarlac's decided to stop doing them, you could get the individual units real cheap.. I stocked up on 20 or so of each stormie type (except storm commandos, atsts and speeders) for roughly 50 bucks. Took another 30 for rebels, and 20 for miscel...

Know anywhere else that sell them individual?

I understand preemptively that this may be a stupid question given that you might already have mentioned such vendor if you knew of one.
