Looking for an occupation!

I'm joining a new rpg and I need to know what the different occupations are.

Can you generalize what catagory you are looking in? There are thousands of careers in Star Wars, just like the real world.

The most common PC job's I've seen have been: Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, various forms of police, planetary defence, mercs, private eyes; courier, rebel spy, rebel x, and gambler.

Rarer ones have include crack pilot, expert gunner, information broker, hacker, professor, acheologist, and geneticist.


There are so many other possiblities: holovid celeberty, journalist, mechanic, translator, ect.

It all depends on two things: 1) What do you want your character to do, and 2) What kind of equipment do you want them to start with?

Technically, you can start them with whatever you want... but a good GM will make you explain why you have items that don't fit the character template type you're playing.
