Multitool:
Cost: 10-50 Credits
Capsule: This small, pocket-sized tool comes in various sizes, shapes, and with various tools folded into itself. Created in an infinite number of styles and reasons amongst the Galaxy, it is considered a minimum requirement for any survivalist, tech, or even person on the go.
Game Stats: Counts as "Minimum or Improvised Tools" for the purposes of performing a Technical Action. Or, alternately, allows for a roll that normally wouldn't at -1D to -2D at the GMs discression.
Style Notes: Swiss Army Knife or Leatherman. Probably chromed up the wazoo to fit in with the Space Opera nature of the Star Wars Universe. |

Nice, Ray. I actually think you'd have several different lines, just like Leatherman and Gerber do, not to mention their knockoffs. Why, you could even have specialized multitools- some for slicing, some for breaking& entering, some for ship/vehicle repair, or just the general model. I mean, the Solo kids have them, so it's only reasonable that there be stats for such devices here! |

Hense the changes in prices and the different types of negatives you get.
A more specialized kind will have no negative for what it's designed for, but a -2D for what it isn't. A General kind will have a -1D to everything. An expensive general kind will have less of a negative (At least -1), while a cheaper general kind will have more. |
