Do they exist anywhere?
I don’t think a larger nuke does more damage but the blast radius is probably larger. _________________ "That was left handed!" |

It’s available as a pdf on the Rancor Pit’s Library. The relevant text can be quoted if you prefer, but it (and the entire Open D6 series, for that matter) are very useful and worth adding to your collection. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Let me offer you a little friendly advice. I googled the book because it’s free and it’s available everywhere it took me all of 30 seconds. I’ve been working over a month on a research paper trying to translate video game stats to the role-playing game. Being a game master is not easy it’s a lot of hard work but the rewards are great. If you wish to pursue greatness I recommend putting in the work. _________________ Star Wars Deckplans Alliance

Here. Whill also has the link in his signature. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

You found the "Ships, Vehicles, Equipment, and Tech" forum. The forum directly underneath this one is "Tools". The very first thread of "Tools" is about the Library. The very first post in that thread has a link to the Library.
In the EU, I remember a nuke being in the Darth Plagueis novel. I don't know if anyone ever statted out the nuke. _________________ *

Are you looking to use nukes in space or on a planet? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

I belive it is space, but to me the planetary use is even more desired stat wise
I Would add a radiation level and fall out distance for how strong radiation and how far. I would consider this to be extreme planet wise, maybe distances in KM
As to space there will be fall out similary but it is less impactful on players/people, the only thing could be some EMP thing, that may ionize systems and give some damage in those regards as to radiation and fall out. |

As a navy guy i can tell you, the EMP fall out is some of the most damaging stuff of it, away from the regular blast zone. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

i know I know, I was thinking the EMPs had more relevance in the game systems when in atmosphere is all.
Though EMPs in space should affect ships of course |

I would expect most spaceships, especially those designed for combat, could withstand an EMP burst better than a direct hit from a nuclear explosion. They're already shielded against space radiation and lasers. EMP frequencies are potentially higher which could slip past that shielding but the energy is going to be low without atmosphere to propagate it. It's the heave wave that causes HEMP detonation to be so devastating. Ignoring that Star Wars space explosions aren't physically possible anyway, you will not get a heave wave without a large, fairly open atmosphere. (So it cannot happen inside even the Death Star.) |

They SHOULDN'T propagate.. BUT as we've seen in the films, (ATOC) soundwaves DO travel in star wars space!! _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
