Drexel an ocean planet in the Lol Sector has been a place of speculative trading for my adventuring party. The place became the focus of activity after the events in the Marvel Comics as the planet was perfect for open-ended RPG gaming after Crimson Jack was dealt with in orbit and Governor Quarg was dealt with in the floating city.

The planet has 3 moons but Marvel Comics never named them. I suspect the local sapient Sea Dragon population would have named the three satellites as they are clearly visible from the ocean surface. I was hoping we could field some ideas together. Thoughts???

With three moons the planet has a very active tidal system. There are, in my campaign, three small kilometer wide islands that have a small section of them that spend time permanently above the water. The syndicate is using these islands to install piles and erect buildings (think the Jetsons) forming hotels and other infrastructure.

About a half a percent of the sea dragons are force sensitive and those that are near the shrine go there to exercise their telepathic abilities. No organized teachers have visited the planet yet.

Dammit, this makes me want to get some more Star Wars comics (original series)!

When in doubt, go to mythology. Chinese mythology has sentient dragons (that the gods sometime ride on), and the moons of this water world could be named after them:

Tianlong, the celestial dragon who guards the heavenly dwellings of the gods
Dilong, the earth dragon who controls the waterways
Shenlong, the spiritual dragon who controls the rain and winds

There are omnibus of the Marvel comics. I use them because I don’t want to physically touch my single copies, they’re over 40 years old. The Marvel comics had an exceedingly numerous amount of loose ends that have never been tied up by anyone including wizards of the coast and fantasy flight. They tend to be great places to finish what Marvel started. My players really took to the planet Drexel and keep going back.

I was actually thinking of Tiamat, Bahamut, and Io so dragons were on the table. I was also thinking of anagrams of Marvel creators. I think dragons are good ideas but I think I might scramble the letters so that it’s not so much on the nose.

OK Whill dragons it is. I found three but they are from something very obscure and my players wont figure it out because I will put some suffixes on the ends. This should be a good trivia exercise as well as worldbuilding.

• Yorgle becomes Yorgleoth
• Grundle becomes Grundleoth
• Rhindle becomes Rhindleoth
