The talk (in another thread) of the WEG board game Star Warriors got me thinking of one of my favorite board games.
Whill, it's possible you could turn your potential enthusiasm for another game to play with your son to this one: Outer Rim (2019) and its expansion Unfinished Business (2022). It's an outstanding board game, and it mixes in the Star Wars theme brillilantly.
They even add in an rpg element (with story-related events) that change every time you play (depending on how well you roll). There are a ton of characters to play as well, and you can mix/match them with a huge assortment of individual ships, which adds to the replay value also.
I believe anyone who checks it out will be quite pleased. As always nowadays, you can find tutorials, demonstrations, and play-throughs on the YouTubes. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
