I have been thinking of how a swarm would attack a group and how it would work mechanically. Below are some brief rules for a special ability that can be used as a basis for such a creature. Suggestions and critiques welcome.
Swarm: A swarm makes one attack on each person within its coverage. Attacks made against a swarm are made versus a static Difficult (20+) target number. Swarms are immune to the effects of Wounded or better, instead, everytime the swarm is hit it suffers a -1D to all Strength checks including damage. When it is reduced to 0D it is destroyed or dispersed. _________________ Don Diestler

IIRC the one module i played in, that had a swarm like effect, they used the combined action rule. MORE swarming, More die... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

D6 Fantasy: Creatures has rules for Swarms on pgs. 82-83. You'd need to translate from Open D6 to 2R&E, but it might be worth a look. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
