Anyone done any D6 Hacks for other settings, games, or whatnot?

Right now I'm doing a solo game using an on the fly D6 Adventures Hack of Vampire the Masquerade. Instead of converting NPCs over, I'm using their D10 dice pools converted to D6's.

For Disciplines, I'm running them like Advanced Skills that combine with certain skills on the character list to perform different functions. So far it's been pretty fun. To make it more WoD, I tuned up lethality by converting over Bashing, Lethal, and Aggravated Damage. Allowing them to only be soaked by proper creatures or skills.

So far, it's been a bit of fun. Anyone else have some they've done?

Not quite a 'hack' but I run a D&D-type fantasy game based on a hybrid of Star Wars and Mini Six D6 systems. The magic systems
runs a little bit like the Advanced skills where it adds to a relevant skill, for example a fireball would be pyromancy added to a ranged
attack skill, like thrown weapons.

When I was running a game for my children, I kind of did a mashup of D6, MiniSix, and the Narnia Solo Games. I was mostly satisfied with the result.

Yeah. I've never heard of those until now. If they came out in 1988, I was in high school at the time (playing Star Wars), but I would have loved them when I was a kid who had played D&D and read all the Narnia books.

I've done a number of "hacks", from Rifts to "Super Spies" (like James Bond), to Horror to Fantasy to World War Two.

I occasionally work on converting Robotech to D6, including explicitly integrating it into the Star Wars universe.

I have to get a certain level of bored, though.

Looks like someone has done some stuff for Robotech as well!

I ran into a boxed set of them at a used book store and decided to give it a go. They read mostly like a choose your own adventure story with a little bit of skill checks and chance thrown in. I think they were a better concept than execution. I played through one of them and found that while it wasn't spectacular, it made an incredible impression on me as to how a simplified RPG could be done for children. Then a few years later, I had children. A few years later I still found the play experience to be a source of inspiration.

I'd say pick it up if you're in for viewing it through a certain lens, but don't expect it to change your life.

I was a huge fan of Choose Your Own Adventure books when I was a kid. I had the first 15 books in the series. Now I only have he original classic, The Cave of Time.

I was a huge fan of the concept of Choose Your Own Adventure books. I was able to own only one of them... "The Mystery at Chimney Rock", which I played over and over again.

I think I played a couple others once only, as they weren't mine.

So this concept of the Narnia Solo game interests me, if only for the novelty of owning something that was a part of my childhood. One of those books was available on Amazon for the reasonable price of 9 dollars, so I purchased it. I was not going to pay the 249 or 886 dollars for the other two books that Amazon was selling in the series.

I remember that one.

They were the first baby-steps toward RPGs for me. I was really struck by the concept.

When I was in the 7th grade I used to write my own 'Choose Your Own Adventure' books. I wrote about 30 of them. My teacher used to keep them in a spot at the side of the classroom for the other kids to enjoy when they were done their in-class assignments.

I was introduced to classic D&D the very next year and suddenly had a new creative outlet...
