|
I periodically get in contact with some of my former Seabee friends, still living in/around Gulfport. One, who is now also retired, got into home flipping, and after moving up to Jackson MS, flipped one house earlier last year, and found a safe hidden in the basement. After (by what he said) Checking with both the cops and former owners, no one even knew it was there, he spent 400 bucks to get a professional locksmith to crack into it.. And LUCKED OUT big time.. Said there was over 3 dozen gold and silver coins, a half dozen 4oz bars, and some hand guns (nothing newer than made in mid to late 1990s)..
When he mentioned that part, i was like, What a lucky bugger!! _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I'm thinking we can use this as inspiration for an adventure seed.
Man, you really have to wonder what would make someone leave that sort of stash behind. I can't think of anything short of pathological memory loss or death. _________________ __________________________________

Well, i've known quite a few folk, who HATE going into basements, cause of how dingey, smelly and spider filled they can be.. So NOT seeing it, isn't that big of a worry.. BUT i do agree.. Just leaving a safe with guns in, is strange as hell.. LEAVING ONE with gold coins in?? If i didn't know how honest the guy was, i'd be tempted to say he's pulling my leg. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
