Whenever my players are about to start a new "episode" of the campaign we're playing, I make a little video similar to the start of the movies, with episode number and title. followed by a text crawl with some info of overall galaxial events, and a little setup on the situation the players are in. The camera then tracks down to a planet(or other things) they are approching. I have made a version of my AE project available here earlier, but I know a lot don't have access to or experience in using After Effects.
Since I've already made the project, it's fairly easy to make a new file, just replacing the text and some graphic elements, and I can render from home.
So to pay something back to this great community, I figured I'd offer to make intros for any member that wants one.
Conditions:
You need to supply your own text.
If you want a specific soundtrack, you need to supply that as well.
You can make requests, but I have limited time available, and will not be able to fulfill all wishes. I don't do 3D-modeling, and I have no access to models of ships e.g. I can use still images if they are clean w/regards to background and such, but I have limited means of animating those images.
I can do a couple of different planet "looks", but I might ask you to supply your own texture, and I might not be able to deliver what you want at all...
You need to be a member of this forum, and have at least 10 significant posts.
I'm doing it for free, so I might decline if I don't have time, or if I get too many requests. I reserve the right to cancel a project at any time if for any reason I don't feel it's worth the hassle. In other words, don't be a choosing beggar.
PM me for requests, reply in this thread if you have general questions. |

What an amazingly generous offer, Straxus! _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

I'm sure there is, feel free to link some of them here. For my own needs I felt I could closer to what I wanted by doing it myself.

Here is some examples, text is in Norwegian, sorry about that. The text can be in any language you want, as long as you provide the text, and I'm able to write the characters (Will probably struggle with asian and arabic, sorry). In the last example the pc's arrive at Tatooine, I had a high quality texture for a desert world, so that's why I could have it fairly close to the camera. 10 points to anyone who can see what planet I used as a starting point
I like to put on a bit of film grain to give it an old look, but that's optional. If you need a small file, it will look better without, as grain is difficult for video encoders. |
