I occassionaly update species to better reflect information that was not around at the time WEG originally designed the species. You know...referred to as Legends. Here is an updated version of the Cereans. Feedback appreciated.
Quote: | CEREAN
The Cereans' enlarged skulls, extend up to twenty centimeters above their foreheads, house complex binary brains, provided with sufficient blood by an extra heart in their heads. The binary structure of Cerean thinking helped them to ponder two sides of an issue at once. It also enables them to process information and solve problems rapidly and provides a highly advanced capacity for concentration and meditation. Because of their thoughtful nature, they tend to be calm, rational and analytical, preferring peaceful philosophies and a lifestyle which work in harmony with nature. Though quick-thinking Cereans have equally quick reflexes, they are commonly not as well coordinated as Humans. Because of the weight of their enlarged skulls, Cereans often have back problems and were less physically coordinated than the average Human.
Cereans are a sexually dimorphic species, with male Cereans aging more rapidly than their female counterparts. Additionally, males are outnumbered by females due to a skewed birth rate ratio of twenty females to every one male. Force-sensitivity among Cereans is similar to that of baseline Humans. It is suggested their binary brains allowed some Cerean Forcefuls to explore both the light and dark aspects of the Force.

Thanks for sharing your general updates to WEG species, and this particular update. But this text is a little misleading because WEG never made stats for this species. Cereans did not appear in the franchise until the year after WEG lost the game license. FYI for those reading this. _________________ *

Your welcome and of course, you are correct. This species made its first appearance in the prequels and WEG lost the license early in the same year, but before the release of TPM.
The species was first written up in Ultimate Alien Anthology and was written for SWd20 2E. So, yes, my mistake for not making it clearer. Though, we do have fan made stats from the semi-official Stat books for them.
I was never really comfortable with the +1D to initiative rolls justification because cerean are able to "...process information and solve problems rapidly..." I struggled with how to implement a mechanic for this, but either because its late or I am tired, I decided it was best used for roleplaying and narrative flair.
