Peter Mayhew is one of the few celebrities I've had personal encounters with, and I was fortunate enough to chat with him one-on-one for 10 minutes. We talked about Cloud City and other things I can barely remember. It was a real challenge not to gush and go full fanboy as I contained my excitement. I have a photo of Harrison Ford and him signed by him live right in front of me.
He was more than just a guy in a mask and suit. He talked to me about the day he was sick when filming TESB and they put someone in the suit. They had to throw away all the footage because it was so obviously not him. Peter Mayhew's precise physical performance IS Chewbacca. Peter Mayhew was the "Chewbacca Consultant" for the new actor in the modern films.
Clear skies, Peter Mayhew.

RIP.
I met him once at an autograph signing in WDW back when "Star Wars Weekends" at MGM were around, before Celebration replaced them. Somewhere I think I still have the Hoth Chewbacca postcard I got signed. And thus is the one degree of separation between me and Whill.
Today I will share the link to the Canadian genius who registered the address chewbac.ca |

Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |
