Always loved McQuarrie's art. Weird seeing it on the screen, but what might have been... Many moons ago I collected the SW Widevision card series. The bonus "chromium" cards were all McQuarrie concept art. This was always my favorite:

I use some McQuarrie art in my game. One of the Imperial stormtroopers is "Phase III", the standard stormtrooper armor in between Phase II and the standard stormtrooper armor of the classic films. In my SWU, the opening of Solo is when the classic standard stormtrooper armor was brand new. Some very unimportant planets just nominally claimed by the Empire may have left some Phase III troopers there for permanent duty in the early Empire and never updated their armor or sent new troopers, so some aging stormtroopers in McQuarrie armor are still around in the time of the classic trilogy. And armor based on that is still used for riot troopers and inquisitors. _________________ *
