|
|
I have been looking around for a (to me) make sense stat on Snoke.
I have seen him listed with 20D in force skills and the like something i dare say is far fetched.
Neither have seen a list of his force powers, though to me it seems he knows telekinetic kill, kinetics of various degree, mind tricks and various telepathy and projections.
I do not think we should blindly look to what kylo uses as force powers are concerned as we do not know the xtent of snoke's training, it cold be much more philosophical in nature than martial, since even Snoke adresses his apprentice as "Master of the knights of ren".
I think with the star wars brain power here we could do a great Snoke write up
Here is my take on a start for a snoke write up
DEX: 1D+2 (I choose this in the 1D range du to his injuries)
KNO: 4D or more
Scholar-Dark Side: 10D(assumed and to give him some "ancient" traits)
PER: 4D or more
STR: Unkown
MEC: Unkown
TEC: Unknown
Control: 10D-My assumed minimum
Sense: 10D-my assumed minimum
Alter: 8D-My assumed Minimum
Force Powers: Telekinetic Kill, Affect Mind, receptive telepathy, projective
telepathy, kinetic combat, "force projection" (non exisitng power but one it appears he has), Sense Force, Sense Force Potetntial, Farseeing
These are the force powers i can cme up with to match closest to what we see in the movies.
Force Points:Unkown 5+ (assuming Snoke has at least gained a total of more than 5 FPs)
Dark Side Points: Unkown 6+(6 counting as fully succumbed to the dark side according to the dark side scoursebook)

I started to, but I only got halfway through before I was unexpectedly cut off. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Agreed. The only stats I've seen for Snoke popped up on RPGGamer.org and are likely the ones you're referring to -- their write-up gives him 20D in each Force Skill, 50 Force Points, etc.
The site's a good resource overall, but their stats definitely tend to run very high and are wildly inconsistent. For example, characters will often inexplicably have well over 18D attributes, and have skills at unexpectedly high levels -- higher than seem logically extrapolated -- for skills that no film, tv, print or other ancillary media show/mention/allude to them using, etc. (That said, no real knock on them intended, only my earlier constructive crit. If they're aiming for an OP/overpowered stat scale, more power to 'em. That site is prolific and they do other good work.)
Either way, MT, your stats are already a closer approximation to what we know of Snoke. |

Sheesh... as pathetic as Snoke proves to be for the little bit of screen time he gets, I'm tempted to stat him as an "afterthought," with more or less mediocre stats and maybe one or two really high skills to account for his "rise to power."
20D in any force skill (let alone all three)? Are there home brew stats by the same author of Palpatine, Yoda, or Luke for comparison? Based on what I've seen, I would think Luke would mop the floor with Snoke (I'd expect that even RotJ Luke should find Snoke of minimal challenge).
All in all, I get the impression that Snoke would be less capable (overall) than Darth Maul, if perhaps having higher social/political skills than him, but that's about it. |

True. There didn't seem to be many Force users running around (although that might change in the next movie) so anyone with even a moderate midichlorian count could rise to power. _________________ Aha! |

I don't know... Snoke's stats seem... half-done. :rimshot: _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

I don't think we have enough data to write out stats for Snoke, no matter how you slice it. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

I think we're gonna find the membership divided on this. _________________ "I've Seen Your Daily Routine. You Are Not Busy!"

I expect it'll be about a 50/50 split. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Indeed. It’s important to stay somewhat detached when it comes to these sorts of things. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.
