I know that there have been threads about the ships in Empire we see in the background, one was a tanker I believe. Two designs have cropped up and I would love to see if they could be statted to make them playable, and I know the people on here can work magic, lols.

This one is the YX-950

And the other is the B-Wing Mark 2, or at least a version of it.

Does anyone want to take a shot?

Little update, some checking using specific keywords i found this but I am uncertain if these are D6 or D20 stats.

Is that the 2-man B-wing from Strikeforce Shantipole?

It doesn't look like any game system. That website has all those damn flashing ads so I gave up tying to investigate what system they use. It looks very general.

I have done my version of the ship from that scene in Empire, but not as the YX-950. I like the 950 in general, but have no current plans to do it. However, the other link you found certainly seems to have enough information on it that you could build a D6 stat out of it.

No, it's supposed to be a Sequel Era evolution of the B-Wing, eliminating the spinning cockpit so that it flies on its side and has an onboard crew rest area in the "neck" between the cockpit and the engines. Personally, I'd rather do something like a bomber version of the Resistance Transport, with an ordnance launch bay replacing the passenger compartment; I like the B-Wing's spinning effect now that I've come up with a use for it.

Oh, I'd be interested in seeing what you came up with, because, well different interpretations and all that.

On the YX-950, it has the YSB Utility Transport, which I would interpret as a very basic YT style vessel, perhaps the lack of mandibles, you could say this is essentially a variant of the YT-1200 or perhaps the smaller YT-1000.

Doing a bit of further digging I've found some other stats for the ship, im assuming its D20.

And this chap has provided us with not only an overhead view but a partial cutaway

Here: the MC-19 Medium Tanker.

A detachable ship is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure that ship is so much bigger that it would need it.

Those aren't D20 stats, so it's more likely that they're FFG stats.

Ehhhh, that cutaway is so wrong...

Ah, you went in quite a different direction, literally. Interesting.

Yeah, i think the scaling of the cutaway is off, but I think we can sorta justify that because it's Lego, or looks like it anyway.

i am SO adding these to my 15 BBY Stockwell Borderlands D6 campaign!
The majority of the YX-950s (Length 124 meters) & YX-951s (Length 125 meters) in the Stockwell Borderlands region (6 sectors) are owned & operated by the Mining Guild, and have 1/3-2/3 of their hulls painted yellow.
The 2nd largest group are independent captains contracted with the Mining Guild. Their ships are marked by a combination of Yellow & White pinstripes & a thicker line of Yellow dashes or chevrons.
The 3rd group are independent spacers that freelance or take contracts with either the Empire or various corporations.
The 4th group are owned & operated by Octooine Engineering Corporation to refine materials or haul ore/fuel. These are marked by the OEC logo in red.
Almost none in 'rebel' hands yet.
Some impounded vessels are now assigned to Imperial stations & outposts as support ships. One has been converted to a TIE-carrier (8 internal, 8 external), and another into a Walker-carrier (3 AT-AT or 6 AT-TE units).
When i have settled on my 'stock' stat block for them & typical mods, i will edit them into this post.
Imperial & other variants will be separate posts.

Additionally, i have the starfighter-scale YX-949, capital-scale YX-952 & 953 on my drawing board now...

Reading through the material for the YX-950 I am very confused. It states there are two versions, okay I get that. It also states is has a single weapon and that the utility vehicle also has some type of weapon, yet towards the bottom it lists a plethora of weapons. Weapons I might add, are capital level. The thing is a freakin frigate or corvette, at least! So is this a version that has been upgraded to wartime or is the information not presented in a coherent way?

Kyprin version
2 Heavy Turbolasers
3 Medium Turbolasers (2 hidden)
3 Light Turbolasers (hidden)
4 Multi-Purpose Torpedo Launchers

Brute version (as above, with following additions)
Medium Turbolaser

YSB (short range utility vehicle)
Light Turbolaser

Update: I attempted to make sense of this ship and have posted it in a new forum thread here
. Please take a look and comment. I have significantly updated the stat blocks from those originally posted.

I plan to rewatch the EC Henry video later, before i finalize my stats for the 'stock' version of the YX-950 & 'sister' ships in the design lineage. Checking to see what sources you said you'd been reading, there is no 'canon' info on the ship, only its appearances in RotJ.
There are plenty of fanon takes & homebrew stats by other gamers.

I like your write-up so far, but i'm not sure the Kyprin Renegade is that well-armed...
As for Tractor Beams, i was gonna go with:
2 Tractor Beam Projectors
Fire Arc: Front
Crew: 4
Skill: Capital ship gunnery
Fire control: 2D
Space range: 1-5/15/30
Atmosphere range: 2-10/30/60 km
Damage: 4D

and for the interior,
http://d6holocron.com/wiki/index.php/Tractor_Beam
Tractor Beam
Model: Arakyd Flight Bay Tractor Beam
Type: Medium tractor beam
Scale: Starfighter
Skill: Starship gunnery
Crew: 1
Cost: 12,000
Availability: 2
Fire Control: 2D
Damage: 3D
Source: Hideouts & Strongholds (page 13)
The first one i listed seems standard for small to medium capital ships.

You have not looked over the updated stat blocks then. The Kyprin Renegade has a single laser cannon and the laser cannon on the YSB.
