Howdy folks! I'm working on my first WEG SW campaign, and we use a SMART board and a lot of visuals in our gaming, so I'm putting together a picture library for the different characters that might show up. This has been pretty easy until now, when I started on the Imperial troops OTHER than Stormtroopers. I'm having a DEVIL of a time tracking down nice, color pictures of Imperial Army or Navy troopers, and even officers have proven way more difficult than I expected.

Do y'all have any go-to resources for these types of visuals? I've scoured Pinterest, spent ages on Google image search, and even looked through several source books trying to find a decent image. It shouldn't be this hard!

I'm looking for just a clean, nice, color image of these various troop types. Something like this:

I usually scour Deviant Art, although sometimes it can be a chore sifting through all of the pornography you can find on there.

Google Image search came up with some okay images right off the bat, so I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for as far as that goes.

You could try doing a search for Imperial Army/Navy Cosplay. Though not drawn, you can sometimes find some amazingly detailed costumes for folks, or you can find source pictures and such.

Yeah, I've checked Deviant Art without much luck, and yeesh, I know what you mean! I don't know what the deal is with "sexy" stormtroopers, but I just don't get it.

What search parameters did you use where you found good stuff? I'm getting nothing but bad drawings, video game shots, OTHER types of SW characters (like Stormtroopers), and the occasional partial movie still.

I've found a couple of things that I could use, but nothing that is quite what I'm after. Essentially, I'm looking for colored artwork that is of a similar style to the pieces I put in my first post so that there will be something of a unity of style in the art assets I'm using. So, color, full body, with weapon in hand and usual equipment, etc.

I can not make promises, but I might be able to make/contribute some general game art for all on these forums of a type similar to what you are seeking. I may not be able to get the Imperial Navy or Army Troopers 100% accurate if I go the 3D route but should be able to get a close enough approximation.

This would have to be done in-between other projects and tasks as time allows. so I can't give an ETA.

This is all based on me doing it all out of good will. I do take paid commissions for things I give priority to.

Just to be clear, by Imperial Navy - you mean the guys that in the 70's action figures were also referred to as "Death Squad" or "Death Star Guard" correct? These Guys:

Howdy KageRyu, that would be really cool! I have managed to find at least something for all of the troop types, but I would certainly be interested in seeing what you created and 'upgrading' to better images. I'm afraid I couldn't pay for a commission, but if are interested in doing these, I'd be enthusiastically interested in the results!

And there is no hurry at all. As I said, I've got something that can at least work as a stop gap, so it's not like my game plans are going to unravel for lack of art.

Yes, that's precisely what I mean by Imperial Navy.
