As usual, I'd like to apologize up front if this has already been posted a million times. Just let me know and I'll try to delete this.
Is there a compilation anywhere of video/graphic tools, other than the crawl, that can be used to enhance RPG sessions? For instance, there were several tools created a while back reproducing certain displays:

There's a fairly nice hyperspace video on YouTube which would be nice for lightspeed transitions:

Of course the Soundboard is a great audio resource. By the way, I went through the Sound of Star Wars book, and painstakingly recorded all 256 sounds to mp3s using the audio port. Has anybody created a listing of all these, by chance, or will I need to do that on my own. That book is a great resource!
And, although this is certainly covered in a different thread, with respect to the crawl, what do people think is the best available crawl creator out there? I know about the one on Starwars.com, and I've seen a couple fan made ones posted here. But each of them seem to have limitations and slight differences from the film versions. Is there a holy grail of crawl creators out there now? There must be by now!
Thanks! |

This is probably not what you had in mind, but I'm using After Effects (which is kinda like Photoshop for film) to make graphics/videos for my players.
I've already posted my crawl https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0gX4Er02ktvblRuWXpja3lrcFUl, and I've also animated a datapad that can display text, and appear broken.
I plan to make more computer screen stuff later on. If there are other AE users here I'd be happy to share my projects and be of assistance if anyone needs any tips. |

Looks like your link no longer works, Straxus, but I think I saw it earlier. I love custom crawls!
And it would be awesome to see your animated datapad, that you said you'd put together.
I also think it would be great to have some kind of onboard starship display, where you could paste images of ships or whatever as a representation of the view from a starship cockpit.
And a dream setup would be software that could incorporate wireframe digital representations of ships, with some basic movement, to show an animated view out of the cockpit. Does anyone know if anyone is developing something along those lines? When I look at the awesome work that Ansel Hsiao does at http://fractalsponge.net/ it sparks some ideas on how that could be incorporated into a gaming session for introducing a few critical starship encounters. |

Ditto to both of those votes! I would love to snag those! |
