A group of Facebook users are creating a quarterly fanmade periodical for the WEG SW RPG called "Adventurers Journal" in the spirit of the original Adventure Journal series. It will be a full-color PDF but with the page size dimensions of the original AJ, 5.5" x 8.5". The first issue is scheduled for a release of 5/4.
I was invited to join the closed group and I offered to submit a brief article for the premier issue, but the project leader said the first issue is pretty full on content and asked if I would submit it for the second issue in August instead. However he said he would put a one-page ad for The Rancor Pit in the first issue.
So who here would like the honor of designing the Rancor Pit ad? I would like it to include the main URL ( rancorpit.com/ ) and the description "The Rancor Pit, the world's premier forum devoted to The Star Wars Roleplaying Game by West End Games" or something like that. You'll of course get full credit for your design. Their deadline is April 19th so we would need to have it finalized before that. Be creative. Please let me know!

I have some skills in this area, but I can't draw freehand. When I'm making ads or or flyers for work, I'm usually using Creative Commons images and working them together to make a reasonable design.
The trick here for me would be getting a hold of base images that would pass the AJ's sniff test. I don't think using an LFL-owned image would fly, even though it's what we use for our top banner on the site.

So Jedi Fluffy probably isn't going to happen then? Well, if you can come up with anything it would be very much appreciated.

I have the original Jedi Rancor art in the form of a high quality png. The artist and I don't want to go public with it yet because we want its first unveiling to be Adventurers Journal that the Rancor Pit ad is going to appear in.
So the hard part is out of the way. Does anyone want to take the image and design an ad for the Rancor Pit around it? You will have my gratitude. It has to be done by April 19th.
