I don't know if the holocron has been accepted into the new canon. I don't think it has. But, something similar has surfaced in the Doctor Aphra comic.
It's called the Rur Crystal. It's this fair sized chunk of green crystal that is supposed to have the mind or essence or whatever, of an ancient Jedi in it.
The problem is, no one really knows how to access it.

Wait, do you mean holocrons in general or a specific holocron might or might not be canon? We have both Jedi and Sith holocrons in Star Wars Rebels and that's definitely canon. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

Gotcha. Didn't know that since I haven't watched Rebels. |

Yeah, Kanan Jarrus has a Jedi holocron that's shown in the first episode. Ezra managing to open it while completely untrained is what convinces Kanan to train him. We even get to see the message that Obi-Wan Kenobi transmitted offscreen from Coruscant during Revenge of the Sith warning the other Jedi to ignore the recall beacon and stay away from Coruscant.
And from the end of Season 2 to partway through Season 3, a Sith holocron figures very prominently in Rebels when it starts to corrupt Ezra.
Even before I saw Rebels, I always figured holocrons were too awesome to remain non-canon. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
