I was playing around with the idea of a Raider Corvette (with the right side hangar large enough for 2 TIE seen in battlefront) capable of holding a full squadron, by using ISP-6 Imperial Shuttle Pods

http://rpggamer.org/page.php?page=3531

Found these D6 stats, and the size of 2.2 meter should allow these foldable? things to fit almost in your left pocket.

What a surprise, the single corvette all of a sudden seems to explode, and a dozen tiny starfighters swarm space around it attacking the enemy along side the mothership

2.2 meters? That's smaller than an A-wing.

Is shown as a micro micro lamda lookalike
2.2 m length, height looks about the same.
Making the wings collapsible is not hard to do, now you have what 2x1m 2x1.5 or something.
This could even be incorporated into ship hulls, adding full squadrons.
With the given speed ( that I think is a bit much) and the twin blaster, and shields this is the dream to have in your own TINY feighter

This is speeder scale

Basically i am saying there's no way that a ship could be that small and be combat effective. HECK Rebel snowspeeders, are bigger than that.

I almost agree.
I could see them as something close to "ultralites" though I would most likely downgrade the guns and hull/armor, maybe give it a max speed of 4, making what it seems to be...an ultra ultralite

That's a Chibi-style Lambda shuttle.

Like the LEGO Micro Hero sets. Example X-Wing: https://truimg.toysrus.com/product/images/lego-star-wars-micro-hero-starfight-(75125)--460FAD90.pt01.zoom.jpg

The smallest fighter I can think of, is the Eta-2 with a width of 4.3 meters, a height of 2.5 meters, and a length of 5.47 meters.

I'm hesitant to make starfighters that small without engineering in some serious drawbacks. The closest I got was the Defense Pod, a standard escape pod that had been converted into a makeshift fighter.

It has a serious drawback, it's speeder scale. It does 1D starfighter damage.

Ah, so it really IS completely useless.

I can only assume the stat-writer arrived at that Scale and Length via a 1/1 comparison of the Kenner Toy with Kenner Action Figures, a ratio system that falls apart the second it’s compared to the toy versions of ships that appeared in the films.

Personally, if I were to use the ISP-6, it would serve as the basis for something else, like a multi-passenger orbital shuttle, perhaps. As for the stat linked in the OP, you would get better value for the cost and cargo space by installing a laser turret.

It's useless as a starfighter, yes. Though the scale difference makes it incredibly difficult to hit.

I wouldn't say it's useless though. It's a one man speeder that can not only break atmosphere, but can travel to nearby planets, ships and space stations. It's a very interesting design, clearly built to be a starship on a miniature scale.

Kind of like a motorcycle. Motorcycles have been used in war, but no one would ever consider them able to fill the roll of a humvee or a tank or mobile artillery.

But where's it getting the engine thrust/power needed to be orbitally capable, when larger airspeeders don't?
