R4D2 (modified R4 droid)
A-Wing modified with Droid Socket (RZ-1T, Co-Pilot/Instructor seat replaced with Droid socket + extra cargo)

the son of a speeader mechanic and a former republic navy officer, he was born on the first Empire Day, as a "Child of the Force" and would develop a number of mostly sense abilities as he grew.

being brought up in the Tech district he would learn many practical things that would just become one with his normal aptitudes, he actually took notice of the languages the off-worlders spoke, when not hanging around the "Tech Kids" he could be found at the fighter bays used bu the militia and security contractors or the back room of one of the canteenirs watching the Mrecs & Freebooters gamble.

in his mid teens he coned his parents out of an R4 unit that had gotten too expensive to return to service after it's last brake-down, he scavenged cast off parts from C1, R2 & R5 units at the starport, what he couldn't use he would trade with his girlfriend and her brother (who's family owned the Droid Shop) for parts he could use then let them forget their Sabac debts for help working on the Droid, within a few months he was able to turn his work over to the droid allowing him to slack off or ditch it entirely and hang out at the fighter bays where he would pick up some part time work.

within a few years he was shaping up in to a fine Starfighter Mechanic and saved enough for a 2nd hand transport, but he was interest in Fighters, when the Militia was selling off their fighter wing he did the rounds of the amateur league games of "Skill & Chance" and almost cleaned them out to make enough to buy one of the donor ships, calling in IOU's and taking a small loan he got the fighter flying again and would eventually return it to spec. he upgraded his R4 to act as navigator and installed a droid socket then left home to see what the universe held.

I like the dude. Didn't consider how it would be to be a Force Adept as well as a tech. There's some EU stuff about using the Force to influence droids and so on - though Mechu-Deru is a Dark Side power (and might cause the dude to fall quite fast), one might extrapolate something for non-DS use.

Magnify Scenes, Shift Scenes, Concentrate, Enhance, Enhance Attribute all very useful as is Absorb/Dissipate Energy.

good battle tactic is drop some Thermal Smoke, shift your sight in to the Radio to Microwave band and shoot for the Comlinks, once your stunner blasts where off you are long gone.

Receptive Telepathy is good for finding cheats at the gaming tables.

We treat it as taking some time to shift senses. According to the revised edition the "Time to Use" for Magnify Senses is 3 rounds. I see Shift Senses as taking at least that long to use. Which makes the tactic in the midst of combat rather risky since you are standing around blind to the world for for 15-20 seconds each time you shift.

And Detoxify Poison is great for drinking people under the table while staying sober.

Regarding the A-Wing, it was posited in another topic that having an Astromech socket in a starfighter contributed a +1D bonus to Hull, as the Astromech could perform in-flight repairs and operate the ship's backups and integrated damage control systems.
