The smart money is on garhkal; he's gonna pass up Hellcat any day now. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

A bit off-topic, I know, but does me making 1k posts in a little over a year make me the per capita most prolific poster here?
Can I have a cookie for that?
Oh and gratz to CRM for passing 10k. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

You have to Enable Cookies first. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Aw, dammit! I'm not sure it's worth the trouble then. It looks as though I may have to resort to getting my own cookie. (Oh, the horrors...)
But to get back to the 10k topic, it's amazing how prolific a poster you'd have to be to reach 10k posts, even after joining in 2004 (like Hellcat) or 2005 (like garhkal). Hell, I'm only going to make that milestone 9 years from now, assuming I ever get there. CRM managed it in just 7 years. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies

Considering the average length of his posts, that makes it even more of a feat. |

I wonder what my word count is at this point... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

I wonder, if it wasn't for all his stats redos, creations and the like, where he'd be at, post count wise? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Less, and the Pit would be a sadder, lonelier place for it. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Play-by-post (which used to be popular here) upped the post count for some folks.

Hellcat is the most obvious beneficiary.

You did take a rather extended hiatus from posting for a while... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

I have been a regular over on the SWRPG's holonet, dragonsfoot, planetadNd and gencon's forums for 2-5 years, and recently joined up on classicbattletech.com's forums.
This makes my 6th one, and second starwars gaming one...
For a little on me.
I have been a gamer 14 or so years, 11 of those a gm. I play/run AD&D first and second edition, Starwars D6, Werewolf the apocalypse (second ed revised), vampire the masquerade (revised), both of them dark ages, hunter the reckoning and kindred of the east.
i also do battletech, shadow run, rifts, and have given many other games 1-3 tries each.
I have been a regular for 7 years, at gencon, being a member of the SPARKS force 7 group, the RPG side of GB7. We run an ongoing D6 starwars game, and this years' gencon marks it's 10th year of running. We are up to 90 or so modules, and around 130 or so steady characters.
I recently hit the 13 yr and a half mark in the US navy, and currently am in Guam. I am british/american by birth, and love it.
I will warn everyone though... When i get to a new forum, one of the things i do, is go through the old threads 1 section at a time. THen i 'resurect' a thread or 7 each day. I do this until i have caught up with all the sections of that forum that interest me, THEN i start posting my stuff. |

Thanks to Amazon and eBay, I have an almost complete collection of WEG's books, including all 15 Adventure Journals (missing Galaxy Guides 1,3 & 5, Battle for the Golden Sun, and Scavenger Hunt). I used to be a regular on the AOL SW-RPG list, until D20 came out and everyone seemed to vanish into thin air.
The main thing that got me interested in this group is the Netbook Galacy Guides and Compilations that have been produced by the forum members. I've downloaded all except Galaxy Guide 14: The Dark Side, and the Unofficial Guide to Phantom Menace (if that's what it's called). |
