What 2E or 2R&E rules do you feel can be applied to 1E that improve the game without taking away too much of the original feel? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Combined Actions (which is brought to 1E via the Rules Companion).
The Stun should not be changed--it's too important to the play of the 1E combat round.
Maybe introducing the Wounded Twice wound category.
Possibly the Wild Die.
Maybe Character Points, if awarded to players sparingly.
I prefer 1E straight out of the core book, though. |

That is something I actually instituted as a house rule back in my 1e days (but I called it "double-wounded" and it was only for PCs and important NPCs). There were a few rule changes I made that foreshadowed what they did in 2e. _________________ *

The Rules Companion (or maybe it was the Rules Upgrade) introduced the variable difficulty numbers to 1E.
That's not a bad 2E rule to use in 1E. |

Is it generally pretty easy to apply 2E rules to 1E games?
I'm just getting into the game currently and think it best to star with with the 1E rules, but I'm curious to see what 2E has to offer, particularly if isn't difficult to pick and choose rules to use for a 1E game. |

Yes. But not the other way around.

My advice is to play 1E as is, and then once you are very comfortable with 1E, try out some 2E rules. |
