Does anyone have an idea of how fast a turbolaser fires (cycle rate)? Can a turbolaser be made into a "chain gun"? If so, what would the stats be? |

Diffrent turbolasers use diffrent rules. The Hapans used turbolaser triple linked turrets, making up for their weaker weaponry by carrying more of it.
The rules are the same as fire-linking. You want sandwhich four, 6, 8 turbolasers togethor, go for it. _________________ My backpack has jets!

Yup. The hapan battle dragons use that rotating ring thing, cause they do not have the 'faster firing' turbolaser technology. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Generally, fully automatic weapons add +1D damage over the non-auto version. _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

As Volar pointed out, the general formula in the Star Wars D6 system is for repeating weaponry to be 1D higher in damage than their non-repeating counterparts, 2D for medium repeater, and 3D for heavy. I would place a gatling Turbolaser in this stat range, probably at the lower end as it should still be experimental and would have a high power drain. _________________ "There's a set way to gain new Force Points and it represents a very nice system, where you're rewarded for heroism, not for being a poor conductor to electricity." ~Jachra |
