I was curious if anyone has ever printed the 500+ sourcebook.
My questions are the cost of ink, and such being that I'll be buying a printer in the near future. |

I wouldn't print it using an ink printer. I'd probably print it using either a color laser printer, or perhaps offset printer.
I know that the times I've heard people have printed it out, it's usually been through LULU. |

I'm not sure about a laser printer and ink. The cost per page usually winds up being higher for a project like that than going through a professional printing service. That is unless you get a REALLY good deal on toner. _________________ __________________________________

Thanks for all the Replies.
Color laser printer, or offset printer I am not that familiar with? How do they differ than ink, with being cheaper? (I realize ink would be really expensive another reason why I asked the question) |

I'd probably go with a dot matrix or something like a large volume inkjet.. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If you want a soft cover with interior b&w you can do this on Lulu PoD and with shipping should be under $25. _________________ Don Diestler

And that's less than a cartridge of black toner or ink for most models. Your mileage may vary, but it still sounds like a good deal. _________________ __________________________________

I went with staples and I was lucky enough to get person who knew D6. Or at least enjoyed tabletop games. I had to have it bound into four books because it was so many pages but he was able to bind it into the sections of the pdf.
As I have all my DM needs in one binding, player stuff in another, equipment etc. It was really nice. So I lucked out on that one. |

I've printed several copies of REUP, full color thru Lulu. It costs around $100, but Lulu sometimes has 30-40% off and I think when I signed up they had a first time order discount so I got it for around $60, which in my opinion is well worth it. I've gotten comparable books from DrivethruRPG and quite frankly, the binding and print quality are trash compared to Lulu. My Vampire 20th Edition had to be completely re-binded as it fell apart. No issues so far with REUP.
This isn't my copy, but this is an example of the cover that I used from the G+ community. Shades of blue book style.
On a side-note, I also ran a game where I printed out the D6Holocron Force Powers packet, in full color for two of my longterm players. The book with a hardcover, I think cost $20. _________________ "We are tired of serving their weakness, and will work toward our own ends from now on. I haven't done any D6 SW printing through Lulu, but I'll second the comment about quality. I printed a couple of other rpg books through them, and I am totally pleased with what I got. |

Damn, I'll have to take a look at Lulu. I'd so love to have a physical REUP book. I'm just wondering what the spine would look like since that's not included on the REUP PDF.... _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

Check out the Star Wars G+ Community files. There are a bunch of different versions of the spine that have been formatted as high quality images to Lulu's print specifications for REUP. _________________ "We are tired of serving their weakness, and will work toward our own ends from now on.
