I'm looking for one, or several even. The more detailed the better. I like non-standard species, e.g. not Human, Twi'lek, Duros, etc. I don't much need names but if they come with then great.
Help me with this and me and my playgroup will love you forever and ever. _________________ The only words of explanation you need for any concept in the entire Star Wars universe are the words Science Fiction and Space Opera. |

For PC use or for random NPCs? Not knocking your group at all, just curious as to what the motives were, if the randomly generated characters were intended for the PCs. Use in one-off, self-contained adventures? Shaking things up, trying something new, tackling the challenge of playing an arbitrarily assigned character trait, etc?
The character creation process is one of the things I most enjoy about RPGs and Star Wars D6, so the desire for random characters is somewhat alien to me. No pun intended. |

Just speaking for myself, a random character generator would seem more appropriate for NPCs than PCs. I don't think a player would be emotionally invested in a randomly drawn PC rather than one they came up with themselves.
Then again, there's nothing wrong with using randomly generated characters as inspiration for drawing up your own character, of course.
I've never seen nor heard of a random PC generator, not for Star Wars nor for any RPG, actually. Sure, I've seen programs that can assist with character generation with a player's input (those are a dime a dozen), but a random character generator with full character history write-ups and everything? Never seen one of those. Computer programs can't be inspired, after all. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

It's mostly for NPC's for SWD6 adventures, but I also use them for peripherals (scenery) in my fan fiction.
Also, I do want to have some starting-level PC's generated for folks who want to jump right into a game without dealing with character creation. I guess I could just print out some of the templates and distribute the 7D skill dice myself, but if there's a quicker way, I'm all about it. _________________ The only words of explanation you need for any concept in the entire Star Wars universe are the words Science Fiction and Space Opera. |
