This may have already been discussed, but after looking over the 2013 Haynes Death Star Technical manual that's been sitting in my pile of books for the last few years, I just noticed how directly they drew from the old WEG Death Star Technical Companion. Even the names of certain rooms and stations are exactly the same.

One thing I thought was curious about is that while the Haynes book includes layout diagrams that closely (but not exactly) replicate the WEG layouts, there appear to be several mistakes in the new Haynes book. For example, with Sublight Drive Station D-639, the 2nd Ed. WEG book on Page 57 show a logical position for the crew pit, while the Haynes version on Page 57 (even the same page number!) labels that area as (4) Power Level Monitoring. The labels for the Main Consoles also appears to be turned around. There are several other mistakes in some of the other stations. Anybody else catch these? Surely they weren't intentional - just seems odd.

I've always wondered where the technical data comes from... personnally I take all of this stuff with a grain of salt...

But I, too, tend to indulge in looking for consistency/discrepencies in things like this. For whatever reason, it's just a fun mental exercise for me, I guess.
