I could really use some suggestions for finishing the stats on this. I am not that strong nor familiar with statting space station. I have typically used them as plot devices or locations, not so much as vehicles. Also, there doesn't seem to be that much information.

Quote:
Imperial Construction Modules (Construction Spheres)
Are large-scale space stations used by the Galactic Empire during building projects. Such modules contain all data, materials, and plans related to the development of a given project. The Command Center built by the Empire in the capital of the planet Lothal was of the same design as those construction modules.

Several construction spheres were used to support the construction of the Death Star in the orbit of the planet Geonosis. Eventually, the Death Star was moved to another location.

Love these things. Unfortunately I really can't tell how big they are. Both structures that seem like they could be a jumping off point are in the Dark Empire Sourcebook. The Hunter Killer Probot which is 150 meters long, and the World Devastator (3,000m). The probot has a similar frame, and the devastator, though much more heavily armed and armored, is similarly filled with modular factories. Again I can't tell what the size of the construction sphere is compared to say a Star Destroyer so the Devastator may be way too big and the Probot too small.

There's the Empress class space station, as well as the Golan series of space stations. The Golan 3 seems to have a diameter (along its longest axis) of 2 600m, which doesn't seem too unreasonable. A torpedo sphere seems to be 1 900m along its longest axis.

If there were "several" of these imperial modular factories assisting in the production of something the size of a Death Star battle station, it doesn't seem to unreasonable to have a diameter of the central orb to be in the low thousands of meters - perhaps 5 - 8 km - in order to give enough internal capacity for the raw materials needed to forge a battle station about 150 km in diameter (for DS1; DS2 seems to be significantly bigger).

So, cargo capacity in the low millions of tons - perhaps 5 M metric tons, let's say a crew of a few thousand - probably somewhere between 3 000 and 5 000, capital scale, hull code of about 4D, plenty of tractor beams of a variety of scales, enough docking space for a small swarm of orbital tenders, and perhaps up to 5 years of consumables? Does that seem reasonable?
