|
|
Our group just got done with its yearly long @$$ PRE-Gencon meeting and one of the proposals that came up was talks on A) giving missiles/torps a longer range to reflect what is showin in darn near every SW based computer game, B) re put in the base books speed mods to targettting from missiles/torps..
During the discussion someone brought up the fact that supposedly missiles and torps are supposed to hit at the END Of the round being fired in.
However i can't find anything in either the base 2e book OR the 2e Revised book on that.
Has anyone ever seen anything like that?? Even if it was in one of the D20 SW books??
Additionally, who here USES that speed/modifier chart for missiles/torps? For those who DO use it, have you seen many pcs actually USING missiles/torps cause of it? Or does the fact that they are harder to target vs fast movers, cause people to shy away from them??? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I've seen the end-of-round rule in other games, but the closest I've seen here is the grenade rule, where a grenade on a 5-second fuse detonates at the beginning of the next round.
As far as the speed rule, I've always thought the short ranged missiles and torps were handicapped enough as it was. IMO, speed of target should be a factor with all weapons, not just missiles. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
