So, I began trying to convert the D5 Mantis into a freighter, but the thing was a behemoth, so I ended up with a new model; the D55 Firefly (pun intended).
Since I havnt played the game since the 80's in not sure about the stats. Thoughts?

Yes, the players will have to equip it with weapons and such. This is more of a template. |

Fare enough.. With it being a 'KOTOR' based ship, have you thought about having some of its systems being so old??

Given the age, I would eliminate the shields and maybe factor in the age rules from the REUP. I'd also consider penalizing the functional power rating (maybe require that you can't use shields AND weapons at the same time unless the core is upgraded). |

Also with the age, the hyperdrive would be more in the line of x6 or so for the main and x15 or so for B/U.

Yes, good points. I should probably have 2 (at least) set of stats for the ship; one for the Old Republic era, and one for the Galactic Empire Era (as a converted freighter, heavliy modified, with penalties and such). Stats above are from the latter era.
So no shileds and x6/x15 hyperdrive. Check!
How about speed? From what I could gather from the (limited) sorces I could find the ship was originaly a customs patrol ship, and such was fairly fast in atmosphere but wasnt supposed to travel all that much in hyperspace. |

Nice... What are those #s on the 'dimentions' showing?? Feet, meters or something else? Especially with the human comparison.
