Forgive me if this is the wrong area to post but, can anyone give me some information on how to bring this companion up to date or has anyone brought this companion up to date ? I am planning to run a campaign in the Hyperspace War era as well as the Great Sith War. Any era notes , etc would be appreciated |

I'm not sure what you're asking for. The game system is already 2e for this book, so there is no further update needed there. Or do you mean including more details from subsequently published material that takes place in the same era? There is a massive fan made document for The Old Republic, but my understanding is that takes place a few hundred years later. _________________ *

My guess would be that skree99 is looking for info/stats for the two periods noted as the Tales of the Jedi Companion only covers the Freedon Nadd Uprising and doesn't cover things as early as the Great Hyperspace War or as Late as the Great Sith War.
skree99 I've run a campaign set in the Great Sith War and to be honest, for a lot of things you'll just have to use you best GM judgment, but I did scour the net for various stats and these are what I found - caveat; I didn't create any of these and some of them will need a lot of tweaking on power levels

Natural Armour: Krevaaki possess an exoskeleton which provides a +1 pip bonus to any Strength rolls made to resist damage.
Stoic: The face of a Krevaaki is composed of a series of shifting, chitinous plates with a limited range of expression. During face-to-face communication, it is difficult (if not impossible) for anyone who is not a Krevaaki to read their facial expressions. Krevaaki gain a +2 pip bonus when attempting to make Con, Intimidation, or Persuasion skill rolls against non-Krevaaki.
Tentacles: Krevaaki use their tentacles in the same was as bipeds use their arms and legs. On the flip side, the tips of their tentacles lack the dexterity of a humanoid finger, and Krevaaki suffer a -1D penalty on rolls made to perform intricate work or manipulate small objects.

Xenophobic: Because Krevaaki are considered a bizarre species by most bipeds, they prefer to conceal their tentacled lower bodies.

most of the things in these guides won't be of use as they are
from later settings, but all of the stuff listed in brackets from

Take a look in the TotJ companion in the starships chapter and tell me if the hyperdrive stats are wayoff; Example(s) Enforcer One Hyperdrive x10 Hyperdrive Backup x22; Ithullian Ore Hauler Hyperdrive x15 Hyperdrive Back Up x25; Lightside Explorer Hyperdrive x8 Hyperdrive Backup x15; Nebulaon Ranger Hyperdrive x11 Hyperdrive Backup x17; The Sungem Hyperdrive x7 hyperdrive Backup x15 Starjacker Hyperdrive x12
And how about the senso stats of having passive and scan modes only |

I'm no expert on the time period, but it was about 4,000 before the films. They could be trying to represent that hyperdrive and sensor technology was not as advanced back then. Based on your familiarity with the source material the book was based on, are you saying they blew it in the statting of the starships? _________________ *

Sort of. One source (as an example gives the SunGem a hyperdrive multiplier a x7 (TotJ Companion) another source gives the same ship a hyperdrive multiplier a x2 (d20) Power of the Jedi Sourcebook even the http://verminary.com/rebellion/powerjedi.html gives the d20 to d6 conversion of this ship a x2 hyperdrive.. So are the fastest couriers during the Great Sith War have a x2 or x 7 hyperdrive multiplier? |
