Any D6 stats for this ship?
Remember I once used it 'on the fly' but the 4 linked blaster cannons (looks like it anyway) got a bit to heavy..

A couple things...
1). I thought the Arakyd Viper was the Imperial Probe Droid from ESB, and...
2). That ship is from Colonial Chrome. Are you sure you want to use something created by... the Admiral? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Yeah, that's the first thing I thought when I saw this thread's title.

I'm guessing by CRM's snarky and dismissive tone that the Admiral (whoever he is) doesn't have a good rep. _________________ Sutehp's RPG Goodies
Only some of it is for D6 Star Wars.
Just repurchased the X-Wing and Tie Fighter flight sim games. I forgot how much I missed them. |

Read ZzaphodD's signature...
The Admiral runs the Colonial Chrome deckplan website, and has alienated several people over the years... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Hahaha, had totally forgotten about that...
I asked him a question about 'a flying RW' (think Space Balls) type of ship that I thought I had seen on his site, and it got totally out of control...with him starting insulting me for asking or something like that.
Also, its called the Arakyd Stalker
Given the text in his page, it seems like some random person requested the design.. In any case, the ship would suit a bounty hunter nemesis for the characters.
Here's a more likely deckplan given the ships small size..

Hahaha....
Had to find it and I did..

This is my conversation with 'the general'..
To understand my last reply you have to click on his link where Im supposed to find this ship.. (its safe) and hover with your mouse over the search window..
Also, he is very serious about his 'competition', perhaps they were competing for the Noble Prize of deckplans or something... _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

It's a good looking ship, to be sure. Based on what's posted on the link, I can make a guess at some of the stats...
-Atmosphere Speed is slightly faster than an X-Wing, so a Space of 8 is appropriate.
- x1 Hyperdrive w/ x12 Backup
-At 175,000 credits, it's a bit more expensive than an X-Wing, but also larger and more heavily armed, so something needs to give. I'd go with Maneuverability of 2D, with a 4D Hull and 1D of Shields.
-The deckplan puts the cargo storage under the deck, but that isn't going to be very useful for a bounty hunter. I suggest converting the lounge space into a bunk, then converting the bunk into a holding cell.
-For most of the weapons, I copy off the stats from this thing's big brother, the Arakyd Helix _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

Weird; the link takes me to the Google UK main page. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

It actually says in the text that the bunk is often used to transport bounties..
Hence the pilot seat apparently is made confy and reclining..
I cant really pick up the proper speed from the atmospheric speed, and all those MGL numbers doesnt tell me anything.. But AFAIK the X-wing seems to have a similar speed.. _________________ My Biggest Beard Retard award goes to: The Admiral of course.. |

Do note that the modifications given from a stock version are upgraded maneuvering jets, a hidden cargo compartment, an upgraded targeting computer, a boosted flight control computer, upgraded hull (more powerful inertial dampeners and field generators), and an upgraded flight and sensor system - plus a slave circuit and extensive security changes. The hidden pop-down surface-defense blaster cannon is part of the security changes, I assume.
I've chopped the cargo hold somewhat, as well as the consumables. It's borderline whether this should actually be a starfighter or a space transport - on one hand, it's an 'interceptor', but on the other it is a 'courier'.
The Plasburst stats come from the Helix 'Light Freighter'
So something like:
Name: Arakyd "Stalker" Light Interceptor (though it isn't 'Light', really)
Type: Interceptor / Priority Courier
Scale: Starfighter
Length: 17.5m wingspan 13.6m height 6.7m
Skill: Starfighter Pilot: Arakyd Stalker
Crew: 1
Passengers: 1
Cargo Capacity: 4 Metric Tons
Consumables: 4 weeks
Cost: 175 000 (requires permit - is a starfighter)
Hyperdrive: x1 / backup x12
Nav Computer: Yes
Maneuverability: 2D
Space: 9
Atmosphere: 400, 1 150 kmh
Hull: 3D
Shields: 1D
Sensors: Passive 20 / 0D, Scan 40 / 1D, Search 60 / 2D, Focus 3 / 3D
Weapons:
2 Arakyd Plasburst laser cannons (fire-linked)
Fire Arc: Front, Scale: Starfighter, Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 2D+2
Space Range: 1 - 3 / 12 / 25
Atmosphere Range: 100 - 300m / 1200m / 2500m
Damage: 6D
2 Ion cannons (fire-linked)
Fire Arc: Front, Scale: Starfighter, Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 2D
Space Range: 1 - 3 / 7 / 36
Atmosphere Range: 100 - 300m / 700m / 3600m
Damage: 4D ion
Torpedo Launcher (4 torpedoes in magazine)
Fire Arc: Aft, Scale: Starfighter, Skill: Starship Gunnery
Fire Control: 1D
Space Range: 1 / 3 / 7
Atmosphere Range: 30 - 100m / 300m / 700m
Damage: 9D
* Can operate under water |

That was funny even without knowing the backstory. |

I will just say this, The Admiral may be a cantankerous old guy, but he put up with me asking if I could stat some of his stuff and he once suffered drawing out a request I had for a FAST pack x-wing, so I would always give him credit where credit is due.
As for the ship, doesn't look half bad. |
