So, do we have any ideas on how to handle phrik as a material when it gets damaged?

I know that the magna guards were able to block lightsabers with it, but I don't think this necessarily means that a lightsaber "can't" damage it. Similar to how one sword can block another sword. Both will be slightly damaged, but will remain functionally effective as swords... no less deadly against flesh. One sword might even be able to break another sword, depending on a lot of factors like the angle and force of the impact, inconsistencies in the metalurgy of the weaker blade, etc.

Given that a lightsaber's damage is primarily based on the user's force skill, it seems that maybe phrik should be "immune" to the extra damage. That is, maybe phrik should only suffer base damage from lightsabers.

Now if that is the case, and a character hit by a lightsaber is wearing phrik armor, should that necessarily mean that he only suffers base damage? Maybe so, but it would depend on the prevalence of the phrik within the suit.

In this case (which might be over complicating it) we could give the armor a resistence rating along with its protection rating so that the armor provides extra protection against lightsabers, while ligjtsabers deal their damage normally.

A suit that was made 100% of phrik and was comparable in coverage to stormteooper armor) might yield a significant bonus (say +3D vs lightsabers), while a simple blast vest might only yield +2 pips against a lightsaber (over and above their normal protection).

Off the top of my head I'd give it aa medium damage code and a high body/hull code. It shouldn't have the same damage as a vibrosword, as it is just a metal stick. Unless otherwise stated weapons have a body code of 2D to resist damage.

Phrick Fighting Stick (Phrick Stick)
Scale: Character
Skill: Melee combat: Phrick Stick, Melee Parry: Phrick Stick
Availability: 4, X, R
Difficulty: Melee Combat: Easy, Melee Parry: Moderate
Damage: Str +2D
Body: 10D
