Needs some help with minerals, metals, and plants guys.

As the title says I'm looking for EU examples of some minerals metals and plants.

Namely:

A mineral that dissipates energy such as blaster bolts.

A metal that is considered stronger than normal steel - has energy resistance - and can be forged by primitive cultures.

A Tree and/or that doesn't burn but is not metal based.


Namely I'm just looking for a precedence of the above to use as reference for players discovering similar things upon a new world and to explain some weird happens they keep seeing.


They have met a race that covers themselves in a coating of mud that sometimes actually soaks blasters shots

and seen a local tree get swept over by a firestorm only be slightly charred.

Basically there is a mineral in the soil that is energy resistant - the tree absorbs the mineral and concentrates it in its bark to actually protect against this planets radiation storms. Then they met a more advanced group on the planet that makes metal armor that is used to shield versus beasts that can spit fire - and now versus blaster bolts.

Cortosis is resistant to blaster fire, but it's brittle.

Mandalorian Iron (Beskar) is probably your best bet for the second one.

The Jung-ju tree produces fibers used in energy-resistant fiber armor, so that might lend it some fire protection.
