I'm really fond of picking out musical backgrounds for pivotal scenes. My group really digs it, and so its a device I use pretty often. I almost always start the session off with the 20th Century Fox fanfare. But after the Disney acquisition, I had an idea to do a little edit:

If anyone else uses music, particularly if you have anyone in the group who is still in denial about the ownership of Star Wars, this might be a fun little mashup to throw into the mix.
It's a short MP3 of about 35 seconds. _________________ __________________________________

Good on ya, Chesh!
I also use music - the entire game, with big cues planned for pivotal scenes, and even major events tied to dramatic parts of the music. Makes for a great game - every adventure starts with the 20th Century Fox fanfare and the Star Wars Theme, and ends with the Throne Room end titles while handing out character points.
Glad to see someone else keeping the musical spirit alive! |

You should give the above edit a try on your next game then. It starts off with the 20th Century Fox fanfare, then mid-way through there is the sound of a record scratch, and then a distinct change to the Disney intro music. You should give it a try in your next game and let me know what the reaction is.
I'm hoping it's good for a laugh. Or at least a groan. I'll take either. _________________ __________________________________
