What is your favorite type of ship for your character to use? Do you prefer commanding a large capital ship, being the captain of a freighter, piloting a strike fighter? Personally, I love stock light freighters. I think they give you the most flexibility, with room to carry cargo and passengers, while still being small enough to not require a large crew (if any at all). _________________ "Mind what you have learned. Star fighters are fun but a small freighter modified or a large fighter/transport give you the room you need along with the firepower. These would be my favorite. They also are small enough you can slip in and out of places without being noticed. You also don't always need a crew. The big Cruisers are fun to command but can get a little bit boring unless the Game Master puts you up against enough of a challange to make it difficult. You can lose other characters in this though unless they are a part of the big capitol ship too. _________________ If you run .... you will only die tired! |

I actually created a Light Freighter Gunship.
Used the Corellian Corvette as a base, and modeled it after the prototype Falcon pics. It's armed with a Twin Blaster Turret on top and a pair of firelinked Capital scale Turbo Lasers. Nice balance of firepower. |

That moded corellian corvette sounds pretty cool Reaper. I just have one question though. How do you crew it? _________________ If you run .... you will only die tired! |

I like freighters myself, they're more versatile, and you never know when you're going to have company that you need to accomidate. |

Yes, that'sa the ship.
Glad to see someone has actually taken a look at it, Very cool.
I liked the lines of that Ship, but wanted to scale it down alot. So it's just a bit bigger then the Faclon, No real need for a large crew. _________________ http://www.boomspeed.com/reaperden/ErcID.jpg |

As a player, I've always prefered the Y-wing. As a director, I find the tramp freighter to be the most useful. It gives the characters the most role playing possibilities, but my favorite is the star destroyer. My players have never had to fight one but I describe them as being unbeatable - by a small group of players, anyway. They recognize the arrival of a star destroyer as meaning 'your time is up.' _________________ Know Jesus, Know Peace.

For my money, it's been Light or Medium Freighters all the way. All that extra space, power out the wazoo, the works.
My personal fav is the CorelliSpace Gymsnor-3 Light Freighter ( Originally in Tramp Freighters, it can also be found at: http://deckplans.00sf.com/Corellispace/Gymsnor-3.html AKA: Frank Bonura's Star Wars Deck Plans).
It's a touch small and crampt compared to most Light Freighters, and lacks a Back-Up Hyperdrive (Which has gotten me into trouble a time or four), but it's armoured up the ying-yang (It's designed for asteroid runs), and, seeing as it's a Corellian Craft, is built for modification! Swap out the original Laser cannon for something a bit more powerful, add a few Concussion Missile Launchers.
The "Broken Arrow", the original craft that I had, was a tough bird. Bought it used, and in *VERY* poor condition! But, with *ALOT* of work, and some help from the Rebel Alliance, it was something to be feared!!!
Until a bloody Dark Jedi caused me to "Take Evasive Manouvers" right into the side of a mountain...
It was secceeded by the "Lager" (Alternate Transponder "Ale"), which was a co-owned craft with another PC.
Uh... Sorry for ranting. Memories!!!
Anyhow...
Starfighter: Y-Wing. Built Tough.
Capital Ship: Nebulon-B Frigate. Big enough to play with the big boys, small enough for the crew to be family. |

As a MOG I like Capital ships and big battles. Personally though, I would go for the tramp freighter. It's good for both sides of the Gamemaster screen. |

A-Wings! They're so fun! you don't have to worry about your sheilds, or hull! I once modified mine, so that it had 32 space move, 4D+1 hull, and 2d+2 sheilds! Eventually I got taken down by three squads of ties, and a skipray blastboat, I cried like a baby! All in all, I like to control myself, and rest everything on my skill. That way I can laugh, when everyone else gets shot down ! _________________ 'God gave you grace to purge this place
