Who here uses the force power (sith power) Bolt of hatred as is, where being hit by it not only does damage, but strips one CP away from the target?
Who here does it differently, and if so, how? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

The existence of this power is highly speculative, based only off a single panel in TOTJ's Freedom Nadd Uprising that offers little or no detail on the power itself. I have come across mention of Force Lightning having a draining effect, almost like a negative energy effect from D&D, so I would rather do away with Bolt of Hatred and fold the energy drain into Force Lightning.
It's worth mentioning the power Force Destruction, used by Jerec in the Dark Forces 2 video game, as well as the energy ball effect used by Darth Vader in Splinter of the Mind's Eye. Both use bolts of some kind to deliver energy, much like Bolt of Hatred. Personally, I'd like to see them folded together in a single power with a broader scope, maybe something like Force Lightning, but using ball lightning instead, with the advantages of greater range and precision targeting. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. What of shifting the CP loss to be a negative effect of Force lightning should a wound or greater be taken? _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

That works. It might even be a vampiric effect, where the drained CP temporarily transfers to the Sith using Force Lightning... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation.
