For those of you who chose to print your books via Lulu I have a few questions.
1. Do you prefer hardback or paperback, if paperback which style was the best in your opinion.
2. How do perfect bound books hold up when you begin to get in the higher page counts.
3. Did you choose to keep the books in color or black and white and is there anyway to decrease the cost if you choose hardback with color. Some of the books came out around the 70.00 mark.
4. Are they ready for printing directly from the pdfs or do they require some work. What about covers and spine for perfect bound or hardback.
5. Are there other options better than Lulu?
Sorry for the book of questions, but it seems like quite an investment and I would like to get it right the first time. |

This sounds like a question for shootingwomprats. In fact, there seems to be so much Lulu action in the fan base these days, this might be an interesting thing to hear about on the podcast. _________________ __________________________________

I am only on episode 8 of shootingwomprats. As a matter of fact in the episodes I listened to last night they still spell thier name wrong and I think it may have been you on the interview. I am still learning who ppl are here. It would take me forever to get to the episode they talk about this, but would make for a great show.
In the meantime if anybody has any info or opinions they could share here I would love to see them. |

Indeed. As much as Lulu has been discussed over on G+, I think this is the first time it has come up here.
jawa1138, if you aren't already on the Google+ Star Wars D6 community, I think you would be far more likely to find the answers you want there... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Ahh, I am a member of it I think, but I haven't really figured out how to navigate the content yet. I'm an old school Yahoo Groups person, still trying to figure out the google pages.
Ill check it out though |

Oh, I'm afraid I wasn't clear. shootingwomprats is the username for the account that Don (and less frequently Dan) use to access the boards. Don could probably answer the question in the forum when he runs across it. He'll be a wealth of information. _________________ __________________________________

Thanks for the clarification. I knew they had a username here, I prolly should have realized what you meant. |

Ok, truth be told the google+ site is kind of a mess. I feel like I could spend a few hours there and not find what I'm looking for. I will post for help there but if anyone here has the pdfs for the rancorpit conversion books that are ready to print at lulu or any comments on my first post in this thread please let me know. |
