Has anyone made one?

I know I can contribute the YT-1100 if we compile!

This has been something I'd been wanting to do for a while now. There's a ton of info from non-RPG sources that would be great to include, such as the Hayne's Guide, which includes a YT series functional chronology.

I had been planning to expand it, however - to include the YV series as well, all the way back to the XS. I also have two from my campaign, the YT-850 and the XR-100 and 100A, plus the L-1 Gunship. A "Net Guide to Corellian Engineering Corporation Spacecraft" would be very useful.

EDIT - my campaign also has the YT-27.

Do you want to include the Hound's Tooth—a heavily modified YV-666?

Yes, I had just forgot about it. My list is not meant to be exhaustive but a place to start. I do not think there are stock stats for the YV-666 just the modified version for Bossk's ship.

Capsule: Another design brought to life by Corellian engineers, the YV-666 is considerably larger than its smaller and cheaper counterparts. The ship sports a long, tall, blocky main hull with port and starboard maneuvering fins to the rear of the craft for vertical movement. A decent all-round ship, the YV-666 manages to retain the legendary ease of modification usually prevalent in smaller freighters.

As with most of the YV series, the YV-666 is built around a two deck main hull. The top deck houses the bridge and navigation systems, while the bottom deck is devoted to engines, power cores, weapons systems and storage bays. The main deck, arguably the major selling point of the ship, is capable of housing both vehicles and fighters. The holds are large enough that one trader claimed he found it could fit a personal residence with room to spare for his speeder. As such, many pirates use the YV-666 as escort carriers on supply raids. Nevertheless, the ship's light armament puts it at something of a disadvantage when faced with better armed customized merchant frigates.

Overall, the YV-666 features a simple but admirably effective propulsion system, providing considerable maneuverability, as well as decent hyperspace and sub light speeds despite its size.

LOL okay I get it now. When people say something would be cool or interesting they are suggesting others create it. Not that they are going to help in its development. I keep forgetting that darn it =)

Haha, yeah that's pretty common. More for the rest of us!

Are you cool to edit the original post so we can see what's done, what's needed, and what you're currently working on?

We can tart picking them off one at a time

Oh no, wait a second...Since I am the one who suggested this, let me do the honors of asking a couple of questions...

Do we just want to do established and weg related stats and then have a second for the home made stuff and if we're going to do that I am assuming that we're talking just the basic versions of said ships, before mods (maybe, if we have enough space we can include the ships the homemades were based on originally...)

Also if we include the other ships mentioned (The yvc, vcx and so on...) do we want to do them as a secondary supplement or as say 'chapter 2...'?

I strongly suggest keeping official and homebrew stats separate

I do not have an issue with homebrew along with official as long as they are clearly denoted as such. In all my posts I include Era, Affiliation, and Source. As long as a source is stated then I think we are fine.

As for the range of ships, I would keep each chapter specific to its model range (VCX, YV, etc).

Fair enough, but several of the ships on that list have no 'official' stats and are just products of the players who decided to create stats for them, how then in that case do you wish to proceed?

For instance, the YT-450a has no official stats, just some that someone made up for it. The same goes for the XS light freighter...Do we put those in the fan sub-heading or, because they came from official cannonized ships do we put those in the 'official stack'?

Just as an example of what I am talking about, despite the impressive list that was posted of YT-class freighters, the only official listing that I can find from Wookieepedia lists only these...

YT-1000 light freighter
YT-1150
YT-1200 light freighter
YT-1210 light freighter
YT-1220
YT-1250 freighter
YT-1300 light freighter
YT-1500
YT-1760 small transport
YT-1930 transport
YT-2000 light freighter
YT-2400 light freighter
YT-2550
YT-450a
YT-5100 Shriek-class bomber
YT-700

Making anything else YT class related fan-made and even then after breaking out my gamemasters handbook (where the YT-450a comes from, PG. 60...) and managing to find out the page it was referenced on, the ship is mentioned in passing in part of a paragraph with no stats or description to speak of...
