I know I have seen this somewhere, I thought it was in the forums either here, at WEG or maybe even the holonet, but I'm having trouble finding the site again so I taking this question to the forums for an answer...I am looking for stats created from toys from the Star Wars Kenner line?
More specifically I am looking for stats for the Reconnaissance Troop Transporter, but I love the old Kenner stuff so I'll take what I can get...
Thanks in advance.

...Ahhh Kenner...memories! I'm fond of the old stuff myself! I think I used to have that very toy you're mentioning.
...I've not gone over all the threads here, but I haven't seen such a thread; but if not, perhaps one should be started for the nostalgic (like me, lol). _________________ The man who thinks he knows everything is most annoying for those of us that do. |

The only site I can think of (and it is has long since been shut down) is Tony Case's The Chaos Crew site. I know he had more than a few toy conversions on there. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Now that I think about it, that was probably the site in question. I always feel bad when sites like that drift away because y'know there is always a lot of love that goes into something like that and when it's gone from the net we all lose a little something... _________________ No matter where you go, there you are... |

Nice find! I've been strongly considering using a modified version of these stats for the generic repulsorlift combat vehicle described in the Imperial Sourcebook for the Sector Group Organization. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. Capsule: The RTT was an armored repulsorlift vehicle built with three open-air traveling racks on each side and usually mounted a twin light blaster cannon on top. At least one model was armed with two additional cannons at the front of the vehicle. The traveling racks could spring open for rapid deployment of the troops carried, but also left the troopers exposed while traveling. In addition to the six troopers carried on the outside, the Troop Transporter had room for several individuals on the inside. At the back of the Transporter was a Prisoner Immobilization Unit. _________________ Don Diestler

Tracked? I thought this thing was repulsorlift... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

All of the PX series were tracked vehicles:
PX-4 Mobile Command Base
PX-7 Troop Transport
PX-10 Compact Assault Vehicle/Wheeled _________________ Don Diestler

Yeah, but the Kenner toy is supposed to be a speeder, not tracked. The version in the vehicle compilation is claiming to be the same vehicle, but tracked instead of repulsorlift. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. But wait, I have a thought...The tracked version was the precursor which turned out to be inefficient and the Imperials always trying to become more efficient upgraded the design to a speeder model...it could work as a fan explanation. _________________ No matter where you go, there you are... |

Well it is obvious that the picture is wrong for the vehicle write-up. None of the Stat books are 100% correct. I am sure if there was to be a new version it would include not only a corrected picture for the PX-7 but stats for the other vehicle that Kenner did.
Also note they are not the same manufacturer, the PX-7 is by Nen-Carvon and was introduced during the Rise of the Empire Era while the Kenner-class is by Ubrikkian Industries and was introduced during the Rebellion Era. _________________ Don Diestler
