I managed to uncover an old cache of ships I put together for various campaigns. Maybe later I'll be able to scan the drawings that went with them but for now....

Special Rules: Advanced HUD/Obscured Vision The upright fins running the length of the hull obscure the pilot's vision. Under normal circumstances this is easily compensated for by the sophisticated HUD and lateral sensors, but should the system be knocked offline (sensors disabled, jamming or offline for any reason, including running silent) the pilot suffers a -3D to all perception checks made from the cockpit, and a -2D to all piloting rolls.


Edit: I can't remember why this ship existed. I *THINK* I was doodling and came up with a shape I liked, but needed to justify a ship that created huge visual blindspots for the pilot (*cough* TIE *cough*)

Out of Game Notes: This one was modeled on some of the WWII Fighter/bombers, with a turret gunner, and a dedicated bombardier (note the high fire control on torpedoes) for firing torpedoes. I wrote this one up before 2nd Ed, so I'll have to go see what makes sense for sensors & ranges. (no pun intended) The high atmospheric maneuverability is due to the massive wing/control flap surfaces, allowing it to make strafing/bombing runs at ground targets and then pull out at the last minute.


EDIT: This was another one of those ones I liked the shape. I pulled the cockpit of a YT-1300 and slapped it on the front of a wing design and put some big engines on it,then found a role for it. I may use it in a story or two, but It was really an attempt to make a ship parallel from WWII.

This ship is laid out as a long tubular craft with long angled wing-spar that attaches the two engine nacelles to the main hull dorsally and ventrally. Two strings of cargo pods is 'dragged' behind the ship containing fuel and consumables. These pods are jettisoned once their contents are consumed.

The vessel is intended to explore, map new hyperspace routes and lay down 'colony seeds' and then send instructions back to Hamki to dispatch colonists to claim the world. As such, it has a sophisticated nav computer for calculating hyperjumps to unknown areas, an extremely long range sensor pack.

This is an Imperial Era ship designed for those occasions where the Empire needed to offload large numbers of ground troops in a very short period of time directly into a building. Built with a extremely limited mission roll, the vessel only saw only a tiny production run before being abandoned.

The ship is designed only for ground troops and their equipment, and does not carry any vehicles larger than repulsor disks. Intended to flood an urban high rise or other build(where walkers and other craft are impossible) The Tri-laser is intended to blast open a secured building, and then allow the HTT to offload some or all of its troop compliment and then move to a new target. This strategy of inserting massive numbers of troops into the high population density urban towers the Empire called Greebling Envelopment after a species of hive insect native to Lobna II.

Edit: I took most of SWR's suggestions, but reduced the Focus dice from 30D (Was that a typo) I did put it at 8D, reasoning that this ship would be designed to insert troops and then provide real-time tactical data on the building, identifying the exact location and disposition of all life forms & droids within the building. I obviously don't have the image up yet, but odd that you gave it those dice. This ship does have a massive sensor dish mounted dorsally.

Another Imperial ship, this is designed to fill a tactical gap in the Empire's capabilities. As some rebel groups employed hellburner or fire ships to combat the Empire's vast fleets, it became clear the Empire needed a capital ship capable of intercepting such vessels before they became a threat to the swarms of Star Destroyers mandated by Imperial doctrine. TIE bombers might be able to wipe out incoming fireships but be unable to prevent the massive bulk of a supercarrier from impacting their ships. The Eradicator was designed to rush to intercept points, disable any engines and then tow the disabled vessel away from the main body of the fleet.

The Straight Flush is a customized pirate ship owned by Komi Shenatha. Komi is actually a former Jedi who fled to the Unknown Regions after the execution of Order 66. Her force abilities and her good reputation among smugglers and freighter captains has afforded her a modicum of respect, and she always seems to be one step ahead of the Empire.



Notes: Komi Shenatha was going to be a Jedi-turned Robin Hood type character. Unfortunately the campaign played out before the players got to see much of what I had Planned. Komi had a younger sister who was also Force sensitive and Komi was schooling to be a Jedi. The players (as tramp freighter crew) would run into her a couple of times-- She'd disable their ship--take their imperial cargo, leave everything else, and even repair their ship for them if they took damage.

An imperial Crackdown would finally catch her. She'd fight her way out, but it would cost her her younger sister. The Jedi-turned pirate would fall to the dark side midway through the campaign and turn the tide on the Empire, wiping out much of the sector's imperial force and this once benevolent figure would take over as the "big bad" for the campaign.


Sadly one of my players got petty, (aka, I've been beaten but left alive, I'm going to strike back at everyone and ruin the campaign for all) and when Komi sat them down to talk, he pulled a thermal detonator and committed suicide, killing the party.
