I made this last year and also many fine suggestions from people. I am thinking its time to tap our wonderful group of creative people and make some more additions. This is based on the _Random Mission Generator_ from _Rebel SpeForce Handbook p.118-119. Here is a link to the version we expanded upon.

I am sure we can crowdsource some great ideas.

Do not be overly concerned if something is repeated. More ideas means some will get tossed out, some will be similar, but eventually it will lead to awesomeness.

Hrm...

Mission type Body recovery (friendly agent), sabotage enemy data, species/government first contact, rear line harassment, decoy/diversion

Mission terrain Underwater/deep sea, submerged cavern (trust me, that's a whole 'nuther issue), ruined base, abandoned city, ancient ruins, ghost town, derelict starship, ice/snow

mission complication off course, missing contact, virulent illness

mission opposition

special hazard meteorite fall, severe weather/storms, collapsing structure

Actually, having a rage or revenge driven ally can be an interesting complication. If you're trying to take the enemy alive and all he cares about is exacting revenge... this could be interesting.
