ok, its April fools Day. But WTH is with Wookipedia using NSFW images on their front page just for a joke. Not cool. |

I think this is a joke but wow in some seriously bad taste. My guess is MAYBE the site was hacked and this put in place as an April Fool's joke. We will see as the day goes by. _________________ Don Diestler

Not the right sort of joke for a site like Wookieepedia. But I'm more disturbed by the "Wookieepedia Pro" stuff. Wookiee Pro would pretty much kill off the site. |

Yeah that's got to be a hack or a soon-to-be-banned user's work.

I pray the subscription stuff is not real. _________________ *

Dammit! Am I missing something lewd because I'm only on my phone right now?
Actually, if Wookieepedia were to go 'Pro' (which, I suppose Disney would have to authorize or organize), I think I would become a subscriber, though I'd be annoyed if they didn't make it better. I'm just on there too much to miss out on it.
That said, I'm sure it's an April fools joke. |

Yeah, I'd be pretty pissed if it went Pro. I'm hoping it was an April Fool's joke. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

There's nothing there about the subscription service now, so good! I read Wookieepedia all the time.
As far as the lewd material, it's no longer on the main page, but I was surprised to see there is still an entry for Breasts even on Wookieepedia. Yesterday the entry included made-up quotes from Han and Lando about the subject and had "informal" real-world slang terms, but those are gone now (as well as the comment about breast size being ambiguously canon, lol).
The entry itself has existed since 2011. What surprises me the most is that the main image for the entry is still there and a normal part of the entry. The talk page tells that there was a controversy about the use of the image and a 36-to-1 vote kept it on the page. It's from a book I don't have called Star Wars Art: Visions. It's nice artwork and I'm not offended, but was there ever really a need to paint soft erotica for a Star Wars book, and establish that the Jedi Aayla Secura sleeps in the nude?
I really question the necessity of even having an entry for Breasts on Wookieepedia too. The only value I saw in it was the mention of the fact that some non-mammalian species have breasts, which is a pet peeve of mine, but it doesn't provide too much info on the subject. _________________ *

I'm almost surprised there's no mention of how Lucas insisted that Carrie Fisher not wear a bra during A New Hope, which apparently one can tell in running scenes. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |

She's said in an interview that she was tapped down to try to reduce the bounce effect during such scenes. _________________ __________________________________
Before we take any of this too seriously, just remember that in the middle episode a little rubber puppet moves a spaceship with his mind. |

There you go. I knew there was something about 'bouncing'. I'm surprised there's nothing about that on that page; it's at least somewhat related to Star Wars. _________________ Currently Running: Villains & Vigilantes (a 32-year-old campaign with multiple groups) and D6 Star Wars; mostly on hiatus are Adventures in Middle-earth and Delta Green |
