|
|
For the Official Template Compilation sourcebook I'm working on (compiles all the official templates together in searchable, plain text PDF form) I'm adding a single page and a two page blank template sheet to the back of the book, and at this time I've managed to figure out how to make them form fillable so that you can enter your character details, click "Save As" and save a copy for the character.
I'm still working out the kinks (like for instance, not able yet to figure out how to allow a user to paste a character image in) however I'd like the input of the RancorPit to see what else can be improved.
They are available in my Google Drive at the following links:
Single Page (is a blank version of the template sheet from 2R&E)
Two Page (has the 'fluff' copy (background, personality, etc) moved to the second page, providing more space for the critical in-game data)
Both have the ability to click check marks to record wound status, a Yes/No for Force Sensitive, and so on.
Please take a look and let me know what you think.

I haven't had a chance to dig toooo deep into them, but at first glance they look good. I especially like the 2 page sheet. I tend to need extra room for my 'fluff' stuff - Just ask SWR, in his game my character has a2+ page background
1 idea, for force user characters, are you going to have another sheet with Sense, Control, Alter, and the various sub powers for them? I haven't played a Jedi in years & years, but it makes sense to me that that would be helpful for them ... _________________ "And so I am become a knight of the Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows!" - Mark Twain

Thanks for the comments!
I am looking at some updates soon and may include a force powers page which van be added to the character 'booklet' as desired, and may be adjusting the colors of the lines so those who print out have a paler color line that doesn't overpower the text.
And may have additional pages for 'fluff' copy though it's as easy to show that sheet for extra copy.
I've had some thought from the G+ community as well, including dropdowns for skills...
Any other thoughts? Comments? Improvements?

For the 2 pager, perhaps move the backround/quote back to the front page and put the Equipment on the back as that usually gets quite long. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If I could make a suggestion? I would add more lines for skills. I find some characters need at least 12 lines per attribute.
I really liked the expanded 2 page sheet. I only wish my players used those sections. _________________ "This job is 90% talking to people and 10% shooting at them." |
