|
|
Ok, with the upcoming Google + game, I finally get to play.
However ….. I'm trying to find a template that fits what I want to play. I thought there was a collection of templates floating around here but can't find them if they are here.
I'm looking for a scout-medic or commo guy type as a base (I'll modify from there). I remember seeing one for a commo guy - it annoyed me because it made him sound whiney and not wanting to be a commando type . But I can't figure out where I actually saw it.
Can you all point me in the right direction?

This one collects almost all the official templates together in one volume:
http://krapz.free.fr/data/The_Template_Collection_Vol1.pdf
The only ones I believe it's missing are those from the Adventure Journals, so if you don't see the one you want in here, check in the journals next...

[lurker] if you are referring to the game I posted, that your invited to, I have yet to see you are going to play/join. You need to go to the "event" page I posted to you and select "yes" you plan to attend the event.
As for character selection. At this time it will be set ANH+6 months, unless others want to play something else, then I will have to adjust. You will either 1) be working actively for the Rebellion, or 2) friendly and actively helping the Rebellion.
So, not to put a pin in your idea balloon. I am not really seeing a commando guy working out. Perhaps an ex-Commando guy or something along those lines. Also, remember, beyond what he does, I would like to see a character concept, some history (plot hooks the GM can use), some basic personality description and some thought into how you are connected to other characters and NPCs. _________________ Don Diestler

TC Thanks, the link is broken, but it gave me a file name to search for on my computer an low and behold there it was
SWR, Rgr on that, but .... yeah of little faith I just PMed you the character. I may have muddled things with the commando vs Ranger vs SOF (I'm still a nob when it comes down to specifics in the EU), but I think you'll approve. There should be enough plot hooks for you to hang all the cowboy hats at my church every Sunday morning on ... Plus, I'd never want to play anything NOT active or friendly to the rebellion _________________ "And so I am become a knight of the Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows!" - Mark Twain

I'm not sure where the template came from, but it was a Spec Force type medic. _________________ "And so I am become a knight of the Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows!" - Mark Twain

Thanks for the post of those
I agree with you on the know & tech. With that I reworked the stats a little and massaged the skill some. _________________ "And so I am become a knight of the Kingdom of Dreams and Shadows!" - Mark Twain

[garhkal] Where did those templates come from? They do not look familiar. Btw, split the difference, make it Mech 2D+1 and Tech 3D. _________________ Don Diestler

[SWR] That template came from Rules of Engagement, from the collection of SpecForce templates in the back...
it's literally listed as "SpecForce Technician/Engineer/Medic"

I thought there was one there, but I did not remember it being listed as such. That is actually pretty darn cool. _________________ Don Diestler

It also makes me laugh they gave the template brawl, but not brawl parry (dex).. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

That, I suspect, depends solely on who posted it; some people don't like having a separate skill for it. They figure if you know how to fight, you know how to counter as well. While it's not a given, I agree that if you've had any kind of real training (which is often times denoted by a specialization in Martial Arts), you've been taught defensive techniques as well as offensive. Plus, it frees up room on your CS to put another skill (which is only really important for those using a small CS or a format where the GM only includes skills on your sheet into which you've dumped dice). |
