Hey, everyone. I saw this message posted on the OpenD6 forums, and nobody had ever heard of this. I thought I'd send it along to you guys and see if this seems familiar to anyone.

Looking for an old Star Wars D6 magazine article
Many years ago, about 20, I read an article in a game magazine. It discussed how to run a game set in the generation prior to the three movies - but was predicated on the Clone Wars/Dark Times as they existed prior to Lucas writing the prequels.
I am trying to find the article. I thought it was in Dragon, but there were only two articles for Star Wars in the Dragon index, one on Force Powers in #157, and one on a dragon themed ship (guessing it was Hapan) as part of the "Dragon Project" in #200.
Can anyone help me identify the source of the article? Please and thank you.

SHADIS magazine #18 or #19 I think had an article called:
The Spark Before The Flame - Role-playing in the time before Star Wars: A New Hope
Sounds like what they're after?
[EDIT]
Talks about holding off on using Stormtroopers as the 'bad guys' as it's the earlier days of the Empire, and using instead more of the COMPNOR Agents and COMPFORCE troopers.
Some 5 pages long.

np, glad to help!
FYI, I have it as a PDF but have no idea where I got it from as it's been a while... In fact it's entirely possible I scanned it myself years ago as I vaguely recall the magazine (though most of my 'hard-copies' are still in storage and have been for years) so if someone can host it I can provide it if they need/want it (or I can provide a Dropbox link).

Was it a fan-zine or a commercial product? I wouldn't mind hosting it if it was a fan zine and we get permission from the "publisher." Otherwise we're really not supposed to be making announcements for sharing copyright material. _________________ __________________________________

Apologies on that, just trying to be helpful, but don't want anyone to get into trouble...
That's the one!

No problem! There were no links posted, so no harm no foul. But if it wasn't official I totally wanted a copy! _________________ __________________________________

Technically it's listed as an 'unlicensed adventure', according to Wookieepedia anyway.
In all the legal mumbo-jumbo how does that rate?

So the question still is, can I provide this to someone to host, or are we stuck in the quandary of legalese...?
